CONCEPTUAL YACHT DESIGNS

As a custom builder, we can easily adapt different designs or cabin configurations to suit your mission. Though our two main styles are the Voyager and Expedition series, which are built on the same hull platform, these designs can also be adjusted to meet your preferred design style or we can build a design you may have already commissioned from your naval architect of choice.

Custom yacht building is all about having a vision and recognizing the characteristics of the yacht you would feel confident cruising in for long passages or spending months at a time on board. Whether starting with one of our Voyager or Expedition series hulls, or a hull design of your own, each yacht is a clean slate and the flexibility of building with steel allows us to be creative with each new design.

Think about your personality and your style preferences. Do you want something that looks solid and rugged or do you want a yacht with rounded lines and soft transitions from one deck to another? Are you interested in maximizing your exterior space or your interior space? Where do you plan to spend most of your time while you’re on board? Will you need space for multiple guests at a time or do you need an on board office, sewing room, or wine cellar?

Most Real Ships yachts begin with a basic sketch, sometimes on a napkin while having coffee with a new client. From there they progress to 2-D scaled drawings in both pencil and AutoCad. Once a concept has been agreed upon we can move to advanced 3D drawing for both client review and lofting the metals for actual construction.
